I write about meat. Cooking it, eating it, gazing upon its glory.
I conceived of The Meatist originally as a weekly column, and starting in 2009 that column appeared on the New Times Broward-Palm Beach food blog, as well as in the pages of that South Florida alt-weekly.
But meat is bigger than me, bigger than you, bigger than South Florida. And this spring, after returning from conducting interviews with participants at South by Southwest in Austin, the bulk of which had to do with the meat-eating adventures of musicians as they toured the world, I knew it was time to give The Meatist a home of its own.
So that’s what you’re reading: the same Meatist you followed (well, some of you did anyway) on the blog and in print, now living at its own site and getting meatier than ever.
If you’ve got story ideas or recommendations, I’m all ears – hit me from the contact page. And if you like what you read, please shoot me a note or subscribe to a feed or the email updates.
